Information about the supervisory authority

The competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (LfD). What personal data is collected and used?

If you agree to participate in the survey, the following personal data will be collected and used: Gender, age, faculty, teaching tasks, educational media, expertise in XR, motivation. This data is collected in order to investigate and improve the use of XR in university teaching at TU Braunschweig. The data is processed exclusively for scientific purposes in accordance with § 13 NDSG. Evaluations and scientific publications are anonymized and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual persons.

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) EU GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation) and § 13 NDSG (processing of personal data for scientific research purposes).

Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

The recipients of the personal data are René Kockord and other employees of the Institute for Didactics of Natural Sciences. The processing of this data by the named recipients is carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations in accordance with the purposes of the processing. Evaluations and scientific publications are anonymized and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual persons. The fully anonymized data from this study will be made available as "open data" in an internet-based repository (data storage location) where appropriate.
